WFD is equipped to perform all manners of firefighting, including structural, vehicle, and wildland.  

One of our major call generators are accidents on the highways and surrounding roads.  We have several apparatus equiped for rescue and traffic control operations.

When called upon, WFD assists local agencies with search and rescue operations.  Our firefighters are trained in search techniques and rescue strategies.

During periods of heavy rain, we work with local agencies to ensure roadways are safe and passable.  In the past we have also rescued stranded motorists who have driven into deep water.

When a residence or commercial building has an alarm or detector going off, WFD is able to respond and locate the source of the alarm. 

WFD annually performs many standby functions in the community.  This includes sporting events, Peanut Festival, and in severe weather situations.
